Hair removal is always a weird subject as a large percentage of women choose to remove one or more forms of body hair, yet it still remains somewhat of a taboo subject. I am a massive advocate for IPL technology and use an handheld IPL device for treating the hair on my legs, however I don’t like to use it on my face as my skin is just too sensitive. I have used a beauty trimmer for at least seven years now and I don’t intend on stopping as I love how quick and convenient they are at removing unwanted hair. I appreciate I’m probably making myself sound like some sort of gorilla but I have pesky white ‘peach fuzz’ on my cheeks, as well as between my brows and above my upper lip. I’m confident that nobody else can see my peach fuzz as it is so tiny, but I know it’s there and I prefer my skin when I remove it. There are so many stories about how if you shave your hair, it’ll grow back darker and thicker but I assure you, I’ve been using a beauty trimmer to ‘shave’ my face for seven years and the hair is still white and very fine.
Over the years I’ve tried many beauty trimmers so I feel like I know what constitutes a good trimmer as some are too blunt, or the blades don’t move quickly enough that the blades end up pulling the hairs out epilator style rather than trimming them painlessly. I don’t use a beauty trimmer every day but I do use one around once a week, when I start to notice my pesky peach fuzz growing back and it takes literally a matter of seconds and I love how smooth my skin looks and feels, and my foundation and powder applies so much better without the tiny hairs. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been testing the Veet Sensitive Precision Beauty Styler £23.99 which launched a couple of months ago, and after seeing it pop up in a couple of sponsored YouTube videos I decided I wanted to give it a try.
The Veet Sensitive Precision Beauty Styler is designed to be use on the face and the body and comes with two different heads and accessories. The styler comes with a battery included within the pack which is easy to install, and the styler can be turned on/off by simply twisting the handle left or right so it’s very simply to use. The heads are easy to interchange, with one head featuring a large bikini and body trimmer and the other being dual sided with a longer trimmer and a short trimmer for the face and eyebrows.
Contents of the Box:
- 1x Beauty Styler
- 1x 2-sided precision head for optimal eyebrow shaping and facial trimming
- 1x Bikini trimming head
- 2x Comb attachments for varying lengths
- 1x Styler cap to protect the smaller trimmers
- 1x Cleaning brush for dusting away any loose hairs from the blades
- 1x Beauty pouch for storage
- 1x AA battery included
It’s down to personal preference but I don’t use the Veet Sensitive Precision Beauty Styler for my body as I prefer to use my waterproof electric razor, but it’s perfect for my facial hair removal needs and I like that with the larger bikini head, it covers a larger area so it makes it even quicker and easy to get rid of my peach fuzz. I do think the full price of £23.99 is a little pricey compared to similar models on the market, however I will say that I’ve not seen it on sale for full price since it launched so I’d recommend it if you can get it whilst it’s discounted as it’s a good beauty gadget to own. The only downside for me is a tiny one, but the styler comes with a plasticy nylon drawstring bag which feels super cheap and the trimmer doesn’t stay inside the bag anyway so I wish there was a better pouch but pouch issues aside it’s a great persona; trimmer.
I’d love to know if you use a beauty trimmer for your facial hair?
