I’ve tried a fair few Lord & Berry products over the years as their products are so heavily featured within beauty boxes, but I’ve never come across the Lord & Berry Timeless Kissproof Lipsticks before. The Lord & Berry Timeless Kissproof Lipstick Collection originally consisted of five different shades, and recently the collection was extended to include another seven shades and I have three of the seven new shades which I’ve been testing over the last couple of weeks. Everyone is going crazy for matte lipsticks right now, but I can’t honestly say I love matte lip products as I don’t personally find them to look very flattering on me but I appreciate the fuss-free convenience of a matte liquid lipstick. Even though I don’t love matte lips, I’m always on the lookout for new formulas to see if my opinion can be changed and the claims Lord & Berry make on the Timeless Kissproof Lipsticks definitely made me intrigued.
The Lord & Berry Timeless Kissproof Lipsticks are £15 each and are said to be a sensorial lip fluid that shapes lips with one-stroke colour with the essence of matte vibrancy and futuristic wear, and an innovative texture that sets into ultralight weight and on an extremely thin cover with exceptional drying time that won’t crack up on application. The Timeless Kissproof Lipsticks feature a combination of neem oil, sesame oil and Indian frankincense essential oil offering nourishing antioxidants, and a moisturising complex which works to restore the lips hydrolipidic natural coverage.

The three shades which I own are; Brave Red (a bright, vibrant neutral toned red), First Lady (a mauvey toned brown with silver micro shimmer) and Pop Pink (a bright fuchsia pink), with the above swatches being just one single swatch. The pigmentation really is intense, incredibly so in fact and the claims are accurate that you only need one swipe for full opacity, but the doefoot applicator does hold quite a lot of product so I’d recommend wiping off as much excess product as possible before applying to the lips as it’s very easy to apply too much as you only need a very small amount to evenly coat each lip. By wiping off excess product in the tube before use, it does mean that the neck of the tube becomes quite messy and saturated with product so I’d recommend using a cotton bud to keep the neck of the tube as clear as possible to minimise any mess.
The lipsticks don’t have any scent at all, and are very easy to apply. I would describe the consistency and colour payoff as being on par with the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks; they are very similar in terms of formula and application. Brave Red and Pop Pink really do stain the lips which aids their longevity but you’re going to need an oil-based remover to get the remnants off, but if you want a truly long lasting liquid lipstick which doesn’t flake, wear off unevenly or bleed; the Lord & Berry Timeless Kissproof Lipsticks are definitely worth a try. Due to the bold colour of Brave Red and Pop Pink, I’d never wear them without a lipliner as they are so staining, you really don’t want to make any mistakes especially if you’ve already done your base.
First Lady however is a little less intimidating and I would love to try more of the muted shades such as Muse or Bazaar as they look like the perfect everyday shades. Comfort wise, I do find them to be rather drying but you can’t really expect anything less from a lipstick which lasts for 8 to 10 hours but you could gently pat a lipbalm over the top during the day for added moisture if you found the dryness to be uncomfortable but the formula really is one of the best I’ve tried and I’m glad there are more shades to choose from as there should now be a shade available for everyone.
