Clarins Tender Moments Collection

Clarins Tender Moments Collection

Clarins are one of my favourite makeup and skincare brands so their new collections always pique my interest, especially when they’re as adorable as their brand new Mother’s Day Collection which launches on the 12th of March. The new Clarins Tender Moments Collection is a beautiful capsule collection with a foursome of limited makeup products which will make for gorgeous gifts for Mother’s Day or a self indulgent treat. Clarins always have exquisitely beautiful packaging for their products, but the Tender Moments Collection really is something special and will be impossible to resist for many.. just look at the packaging.

First up from the Clarins Tender Moments Collection we have the Clarins Skin Illusion Blushes which will be available in three different shades; Luminous Pink 01, Luminous Coral 02 and Golden Havana 03. Each of the blushes are £16 each which I think is really quite reasonable for an higher end blush containing 4.5g of product. The Clarins Skin Illusion Blushes contain active plant ingredients including red algae extract and pink opal powder which combine to provide both comfort and radiance for all complexions. The blushes really are quite unique with a cylinder style packaging with the powder blush pan being housed within the lid, and the base of the blush unscrews to reveal a powder puff which you can apply directly to the skin.

I have to be completely honest and admit, I didn’t expect very much from this style of packaging as I used to own the Boots Seventeen Cheek Stamps which had almost identical styled packaging but to put it bluntly, they really were awful. However the Clarins Skin Illusion Blushes honestly couldn’t be more different in terms of both formula and packaging. The blushes have a silver metallic lid with cute heart illustrations, and a mirror on the very top which is super handy for application. To use the blushes, you can use what’s left on the powder puff from unscrewing the lid and/or press the sponge onto the blush pan a couple of times to build up your desired colour intensity.

From the three shades available, I have Luminous Pink and Luminous Coral and I absolutely love them both. Luminous Pink is the prettiest blue toned pink with a matte finish and Luminous Coral is a lovely peach with a subtle radiant glow; both of which look gorgeous on the skin, and they couldn’t be more perfect for Spring. I love how easy they are to apply as you literally just gently dab the puff against the skin, and it both applies and blends the blush in just a matter of seconds for a flawless, fuss free application. I’ve only owned them for just under two weeks but I’ve not used any other blushes as I love them so much, and I find them be particularly flattering for pale skin but Golden Havana looks to be a darker shade which would perhaps flatter those with deeper skintones.

The final item within the Clarins Tender Moments Collection is the Clarins Daily Energizer Lovely Lip Balm which previously launched as part of their Beauty In Bloom Collection last Summer, and I loved mine so much that I actually finished it which is quite remarkable as I never finish lipbalms. The Clarins Daily Energizer Lovely Lip Balm has an intelligent pigment at the heart of its formula which reacts with the pH level of your lips to develop a personalised natural pink shade. Now I know this might sound like a total gimmick but let me tell you; it really does work. When I swatch this balm on the back of my hand, the colour becomes a bright almost muted neon pink but when applied to my lips it’s a softer baby pink shade.

The lipbalm contains organic cocoa butter and shea oil to nourish and repair lips and redcurrant extract to leave lips feeling smoother and fuller-looking with its lip-hugging texture. The lipbalm has an incredible peach fragrance which reminds me of a Solero, and it even tastes peachy on the lips so it’s a real pleasure to use. I also really like that Clarins chose to use eco-developed packaging for the casing of the balm which was sourced from sustainable forests, which also features a cute red illustration design with little red kisses and I’m thrilled to have another in my collection as I enjoyed my last tube so much.

I’d love to know your thoughts on the new Tender Moments Collection? Is there anything you’ll be purchasing once it launches?
