Clarins Sunkissed Summer Makeup Collection

I don’t know about you, but there are a few makeup brands in particular where I always look forward to their summer collections every single year, and for me, Clarins is one of those brands. The Clarins Summer collections are always contain gorgeous golden hues, and the new Clarins Sunkissed Summer Makeup Collection is no exception. Alongside the Clarins Sunkissed Summer Makeup Collection, Clarins have also launched four beautiful new shades of their cult favourite Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils which is perfect timing as they’re the ideal lip product formula for the warmer months when you don’t want to worry about carrying around lipsticks in your handbag incase they melt.

There is always an eyeshadow palette within the collection and this year’s palette is something special. The Clarins Limited Edition 4 Colour Eye Palette £34 is absolutely beautiful both inside and out, with pigments which are made from 100% minerals and plants for the sleekest, most natural results. The palette is packaged within a golden compact with a bronze translucent top which features a palm leaf and hibiscus print which I really love as it just looks so summery and tropical. Inside the palette there is an handy mirror within the lid and four vertical pans of powder eyeshadow alongside a dual-ended sponge tip applicator.

The shades within the palette are all very pretty with a light beige with a matte finish, a pale gold shimmer, a copper with a satin finish and a shimmery medium brown. I am so drawn to the stunning copper shade as I’m loving warm eyeshadow tones right now, and so are many others so I feel this palette will be a very popular piece within the collection. Even though the palette only contains four shades, they still create a multitude of makeup looks thanks to the warm and cool toned shades and mixture of finishes. The shadows have lovely pigmentation and a super soft texture, and I’ll be getting a lot of use from this palette this Summer.

Then we have the Clarins Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil £17.50 which are in the shades Copper and Gold as part of the Clarins Sunkissed Summer Makeup Collection, and I have the shade Copper which compliments the Eyeshadow Palette perfectly. Both shades are metallic with an highly pigmented, ultra-soft formula for a long lasting, waterproof result. I’m not a big fan of pencil eyeliners which have a typical sharpenable lead, but this liner has a super soft almost gel-like formula which glides across the lids or waterlines very easily for an high shine finish, and the copper shade really does match the copper shade within the palette. The pencil also has a sponge the opposite end which is great for smudging the liner, especially along the lower lashline.

I love, love, love the Clarins Lip Comfort Oils £19 and already own the shades Honey and Red Berry so I was delighted to learn that there were four new shades joining the existing three shades within the Clarins Sunkissed Summer Makeup Collection. The four new shades are; Candy, Tangerine, Mint and Honey Glam and I have the shades Candy and Mint from the new shades, which I’ve swatched above. The Clarins Lip Comfort Oils are lip care treatments which are infused with the power of plant oils to nourish and enhance your lips’ natural beauty by leaving a shiny, non-sticky finish on the lips with a subtle sweet taste. Each of the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils are packaged within a rectangular, clear plastic tube with a gold plastic lid. The applicator is pretty unique as it’s quite a large rounded, doe-foot applicator which hugs the contours of the lips for a perfectly even application.

Candy is a neon pink shade within the tube which looked a little intimidating for a colour phobe like myself but as you can see from the swatch, it’s a beautiful translucent pink with a very shiny finish like the rest of the shades and it has a delicious sweet scent and taste. Mint has an amazing minty scent and slight tingle to the lips and makes my lips feel as if they’re slightly more plumped. Mint doesn’t impart any blue or green tint to my lips but it’s divine on the lips regardless as it leaves my lips feeling extremely soft and smooth, even if you take them off ten minutes after application in order to put another lip product on. They really are my current favourite lip treatment, and I cannot recommend them enough.
