I’ve thoroughly enjoyed trying a range of Pixi products this year as one of their brand ambassadors and my most recent gift from the brand was a trio of Pixi Peel & Polish Resurfacing Treatments; one for us to trial and two for us to give to our friends which I thought was a really lovely idea. I gave my two extra tubes to Zoe and Antonia so they may be featuring theirs on the blogs very soon. The Pixi Peel & Polish Resurfacing Treatment £26 is described as being a radiance revealing enzyme peel resurfaces for smoother, softer skin, and a healthy looking glow which contains natural fruit enzymes which work to loosen dead skins cells, lactic acid gently exfoliates, cellulose peels and sugar extracts polishes, lifting away dullness revealing brighter skin. I really liked the idea of a product which can give my skin a professional quality salon treatment in the comfort of my own home whilst also being more cost effective too.
The treatment has the consistency of a cream with tiny exfoliative sugar grains with the most amazing fruity scent. I really do think the scrub smells like a unripened bananas, with a super fresh and sharp scent which is so invigorating and pleasant to use. The formula contains 6% lactic acid and papaya fruit extract as well as witch hazel, cucumber extract, orange extract, panax ginseng root extract and lemon extract. To use the scrub you simply apply to dry skin no more than 2-3 times a week and leave the mask on the skin for upto five minutes to work its magic, and allow the enzymes to loosen dead skin cells before rinsing with a hot cloth. This treatment offers enzymatic, chemical and physical exfoliation in one formula which can be intensified by massaging into the skin but I choose not to massage the grains into my skin too much as my skin is pretty sensitive and I don’t want to aggravate it.
It’s such a fantastically effective treatment which makes a massive difference to my complexion after each use and you don’t need to use a lot per application so I think this tube will last for a reasonably long time with 2-3 uses a week. I choose to use the mask once a week and leave it on the skin for the full five minutes and you can feel it working with a very slight tingle sensation with no burning or stinging. Once I remove the remnants of the mask from my face, my skin is insanely soft and smooth and leaves my skin looker considerably clearer too. I think this might be my favourite Pixi product I’ve tried thus far, and is the one product I’d recommend trying the most from their skincare range if you want to be wowed.
I’d love to know if you’ve ever tried any of the Pixi skincare range before?
