I’ve seen the ELF Molten Liquid Eyeshadows feature on numerous beauty blogs but the opinions are pretty split between some loving them, and some not liking them so I wasn’t sure if I should try them but the Rose Gold shade reeled me in – what can I say?! I’m weak. The ELF Aqua Beauty collection is available on the ELF UK website, with a small selection on the Superdrug website so I hope the rest of the collection will launch onto Superdrug soon as the range really intrigues me. On the ELF UK website there are six different ELF Molten Liquid Eyeshadow shades to choose from; Mocha Metal, Cool Steel, Liquid Gold, Molten Bronze, Rose Gold and Brushed Copper, but there are only currently two shades on the Superdrug website. I bought the shade Rose Gold as I love Rose Gold eyeshadow but the other shade on Superdrug currently is Brushed Copper.
“Wash this hydrating liquid eyeshadow over lids for a vibrant, metallic look (and an irresistible cooling effect). The formula is infused with Purified Water and Vitamin E to help hydrate.”
The ELF Molten Liquid Eyeshadow is packaged within a clear plastic tube with a metallic blue lid and a doefoot applicator which can be applied directly to the eyelid and then blended with an eyeshadow brush, or as I prefer to apply it to my fingertip and blend it onto the lids without a brush. Seeing as I’ve read a real mixture of reviews I really didn’t have high hopes for this liquid eyeshadow but I have nothing bad to say about it at all. It’s nicely pigmented and can be sheered out or layered for greater intensity, and is so quick and easy to apply. I do find that the shadow blends into a darker shade of rose gold than the shade within the tube but it’s a super pretty shimmery rose gold shade regardless which doesn’t crease or fade once set. I can’t think of a similar product within the drugstore so I really do hope that the other four shades make their way across the Atlantic.
Have you ever tried anything from the ELF Aqua Beauty range?
