Tarte Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette

If I had to choose my top three makeup brands, it would have to be Urban Decay, Too Faced and Tarte, and I only tried Tarte for the first time back in 2015 when they launched onto QVC UK. I have a pretty large collection of Tarte products but my favourite items would have to be their eyeshadow palettes and their blushes/blush palettes so when I saw the Tarte Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette launch on to the QVC website, it’s safe to say I added it to basket and checked out in a matter of minutes. I cannot rave about the Tarte Tartelette Matte Palette and Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Palette enough, and they’re two of my most used eyeshadow palettes so I get very excited whenever Tarte launch a new palette as I know how amazing their shadow formula is. The Tarte Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette isn’t on the QVC website at the time of writing my review but it does come back in to stock periodically so I’d recommend checking now and again, but it is available from the Tarte website directly as they now ship to the UK which is fabulous news.

“A pro-level, everyday eyeshadow palette with 20 ultra-pigmented shades powered by naturally-derived ingredients.”

The Tarte Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette is packaged within the most gorgeous gold metallic plastic and rubberised black lidded palette which looks extremely sleek with an huge mirror within the lid. The palette contains 20 x 1 gram eyeshadows so the sizes are pretty generous, which are laid out in rows of five. Each of the rows featured four matte square eyeshadow pans and one round shimmer shade, and I love that each row can be used to create a colour co-ordinated eyeshadow look, or you can obviously use whichever shades you want. I liked how the Tartelette Matte palette was a cool toned palette and the Tartelette in Bloom was a warm toned palette, but the Tarte Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette has the perfect selection of cool, warm and neutral toned shades.

I knew I’d love this palette but I didn’t expect to be as wowed as I have been, it truly is one of the best eyeshadow palettes I’ve ever used. There isn’t one disappointing shade within the palette, with all 20 shades being soft, smooth, super blendable and longlasting. I genuinely believe that Tarte do the BEST matte eyeshadows full stop. They have the perfect formula in that they’re extremely easy to use and blend, but they’re not too soft that the shades just blend into eachother and become a muddy mess. The four shimmer shades are very beautiful with Minx and Trendy both being duochromes, and all four shades are so intensely shimmery that they resemble foil shadows when packed onto the lid.

This is such a versatile palette as you can create endless looks with the mixture of mattes and shimmers as well as tones, and the layout of the rows really helps to inspire you when deciding which shadows you want to use. I am so happy I bought this palette and would repurchase it in an instant if I had to as it’s truly amazing, and in my opinion is well worth the price as it works out at just £2.05 a shadow which is really great value for such fantastic quality eyeshadows.
