MUA Luxe Light Lustre Highlighter Duo

MUA Luxe Light Lustre Highlighter Duo

I really can’t keep up with all of the new highlighter launches within the drugstore right now. Every single brand are launching liquid, cream, powder and even jelly highlighters, and MUA recently launched a pretty large range of highlighters within their Luxe collection and a new Prism collection. I have bought a few of the new products as I can’t resist an highlighter, and the first I bought was the MUA Luxe Light Lustre Highlighter Duo which was only £5. There are three different duos to choose from; Splendour, Majesty and Lavish, and I was really surprised by how big the compact was as I bought mine online from Superdrug, but each of the large circular pans contain 3g of product.

The MUA Luxe Light Lustre Highlighter Duo in Lavish contains a pretty peach and lilac baked highlighter shade which are both quite pale so they work well with my skintone. The Majesty duo contains two golden shades whilst the Splendour duo contains a pearlescent white and teal shade, but I chose Lavish as it looked like the most wearable duo for my skintone. I really hope MUA choose to introduce some more shades as they’re not the most inclusive shades, especially for deeper skintones.

Due to their baked formula they’re pretty reflective on the skin, but both shades are very pretty. My favourite is the peach shade as it’s the more wearable from the two, but they also look very pretty when worn layered too. The powder feels so velvety and soft that it feels like a cream, and I was convinced they were a cream the first time I tried them as they are so smooth. It’s such a pretty highlighter duo and the formula feels different to any other highlighter I’ve tried from the drugstore but I now really want to try the Majesty duo.
