NOTD | Glitter Salsa Maybelline and NYX Nail Polish
I love looking at NOTD posts on other blogs, yet I’ve neglected my own blog by not posting any NOTD’s for ages. I love nail polish, I really do find that a gorgeously bright polish can be a mood lifter.. which we all need now and again. The two polishes featured within today’s NOTD are Maybelline Forever Strong Pro in Hot Salsa and NYX’s Advanced Salon Formula Polish in Gold Glitter.

First up, I must confess that the Maybelline Forever Strong Pro polishes are quite frankly one of the best drugstore nail polish formulas. The brushes are wide, so two strokes for each nail and you’re done. One coat gives incredible opacity, and the lasting power? The best I’ve come across.. I own over 130 nail polishes, and this formula is amazing.
It claims to contain Calcium, Iron and Silica.. whatever it contains, it’s pure magic. It lasted me 10 days with NO chips. 10 days! For a£4.07 nail polish, that’s fantastic. I love the vibrancy of ‘Hot Salsa’, it’s so bright and summery. It’s unique to anything else I own, which is no mean feat. I love it so much, it’s a beaut of a colour.
Although I love Maybelline Hot Salsa on its own, I decided I needed a little sparkle so a glitter topcoat was necessary. NYX’s ‘Gold Glitter’ from the Advanced Salon Formula range £4.50 was my glitter of choice. This is a corker of a glitter, instead of the bog standard circular particles. It has tiny shards of gold leaf that catch the light beautifully every time I move my fingers.
This hot combo has adorned my nails for four days so far, with no chips or wear in sight which is amazing. I’m so glad I teamed these two together, as I think they create the perfect Summer mani. You seriously cannot go wrong when it comes to Maybelline nail polishes. They’re cheap, available in lots of different shades, and they’re beautiful too.
