Now it’s December I’ve found myself pondering over what were my stand out favourite products from my beauty collection. When it comes to eyeshadow, the winner for me has to be the Maybelline Color Tattoo’s. Oddly enough I have to say that they’re not my favourite cream eyeshadow product, I prefer the MAC Paint Pots.. however the Maybelline Color Tattoo’s are just so much more affordable at £4.99. I’ve already featured a few shades (Barely Branded, Pink Gold & Eternal Gold) and loved them so much I want to eventually get the full collection. On and On Bronze (or Bad to the Bronze if you’re from the US or Canada) is an highly coveted shade, and it’s easy to see why.
On and On Bronze is a golden bronze shade which looks pretty when worn alone, or as a base with shadows layered over the top. To apply the Color Tattoo’s I like to use my fingertip to swipe the shadow all over the lid, and then I go in with my Sigma E40 Tapered Blending Brush to tidy it up a little and blend out any harsh edges. I never apply primer prior to applying any of the Maybelline 24H Color Tattoo‘s and their lasting power is fantastic, with no fading, creasing or wear issues for the 8-10 hours I wear them. I’d never wear any makeup for 24 hours to test the 24 hour claim, but I fully imagine that they would. I love the gel-cream formula of these shadows as they’re just so easy and fuss free to apply. If you’ve never tried any of the Maybelline Color Tattoo’s, I really recommend them. Although I’m hoping and praying that 2014 will see the release of some more wearable, neutral shades – please Maybelline, as I love the Maybelline On and On Bronze Shade.
