Beauty UK Grit FX Posh Polish in Kensington

2nd January 2014

Beauty UK is a brand I’ve seen in Superdrug on many occasions, but had never tried until recently. I noticed that they had brought out a few new nail polish ranges and they caught my eye, especially their Grit FX polishes. There are six shades available in the new Beauty UK Posh Polish Grit FX line, each retailing at just £3.49. I bought a couple of shades, the first being Kensington as it looked like a pretty nude shade. The bottle contains 9ml of polish and the lid has a marbleised stone appearance.

The polish applies evenly like any other normal polish, with the textured finish appearing as it dries. Just like other textured polishes I’ve tried, each coat dries quickly which I like as it takes 2-3 coats for a perfectly opaque, streak-free finish but it’s easy to apply as it dries so quickly.

Beauty UK Grit FX Posh Polish in Kensington Review

Once the Beauty UK Grit FX Posh Polish has dried, it’s a nice champagne shade which has a shimmery but textured finish. I really love the shade and finish, as it’s a lovely nude with a twist and looks so pretty on the nails. Whatsmore, the polish is a dream to remove too. Sometimes gritty polishes tend to chip quite quickly as they seem not to adhere as well to the nails but that’s not the case at all with this polish. You could still layer a top coat over the top to try and improve the longevity of your polish, but that would obviously get rid of the intended matte, textured finish so I personally prefer to go without a top coat, and use a base coat instead.

Overall I’m really impressed with my first Beauty UK nail product, and I love this polish’s formula and shade.. I’d definitely purchase more. If you have any Beauty UK product recommendations, I’d love to hear them…
