Stella by Stella McCartney Eau de Parfum Review

Stella McCartney is one of Britain’s most iconic fashion designers, and launched her first fragrance; Stella in 2003. What makes Stella by Stella McCartney stand out amongst other fragrances is the introduction of collections to represent a piece or collection of pieces from the Stella McCartney fashion collection. This year’s limited edition ‘Print Collection’ includes three ‘daring shades of faux python’, in three gem-like cases in Iridescent Blue, Manuka Yellow and Graphite Grey.

The inspiration for the collection stems from the Falabella Bag of the Stella SS13 Collection. I chose the Iridescent Blue colour as I knew the bottle would make such a beautiful, bold statement amongst my perfume collection. Stella £38* the fragrance, and the snakeskin design is described as being edgy, playful and seductive. Sensual, Intense and feminine: a fragrance based on the contrast between the freshness, frailty and softness of the rose and the dark sensuality of amber. With top notes of rose, peony and mandarin essence, with a middle note of rose absolute and base notes of amber.

Stella by Stella McCartney Eau de Parfum Review

Stella by Stella McCartney Eau de Parfum is such a wonderfully feminine scent, which isn’t overly floral or heady making it ideal for both day and evening wear. The Stella by Stella McCartney scent is quite strong and lingers on my skin for a good 5-6 hours, but without being overpoweringly so that it battles against any other scented products you apply.

I really don’t like rose scented products, and can’t detect any rose within the perfume as it blends so beautifully with the amber. The warm amber notes give the fragrance a sense of sophistication. I adore how Stella doesn’t have that old-fashioned floral scent.. it’s more a sensuous, sexy and romantic scent which instantly makes me smile.

It really does smell amazing, and I have never had so many compliments on a perfume before by both men and women, friend and strangers. If you like floral or amber based fragrances, you need Stella by Stella McCartney in your life as it’s seriously stunning – plus it would make the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day as it’s so romantic and feminine.
