Bourjois Kaki Chéri Color Edition 24H Eyeshadow Review / Swatches

I bought the Bourjois Color Edition 24H Eyeshadow in the shade Pétale de Glace (review) and I really loved the formula and staying power so I was eager to purchase another shade. The shade I chose was Bourjois Kaki Chéri as I love khaki green eyeshadows, as I find they really emphasise my green eyes and look pretty when teamed with gold or bronze shadows.

The Bourjois Color Edition 24H shadows £6.99 have a cream to powder formulation which is so smooth and creamy apply, and feel similar in texture to the Maybelline Color Tattoos except it doesn’t have a tacky consistency. There are six shades available, all of which are very wearable shades which I love as I find most of the Maybelline Color Tattoo‘s to be quite unwearable on a day-to-day basis.

Kaki Chéri is the most gorgeous, multi-dimensional shade. It’s a dark, khaki green with pretty gold shimmer that looks like an olive green on the lids. It’s so incredibly similar in shade to MAC’s Sumptuous Olive eyeshadow, so I love using Bourjois Kaki Chéri as a base for Sumptuous Olive to make the colour really vivid.

I love how versatile Kaki Chéri is as it works so well as a base for taupe, golden, champagne and bronze eyeshadows or it looks stunning simply worn alone. I really like how pretty this shade looks with Pétale de Glace too. I think £6.99 is fairly reasonable for these shadows as you only need a small amount as they’re so pigmented.

I don’t have to apply any eyeshadow primer when wearing these Color Edition shadows, with them lasting an impressive minimum of 8 hours. I think these are really good cream eyeshadows for the price and it’s a shame that Bourjois have chosen to discontinue them, so if you see them instore make sure you pick them up before they’re gone forever.
