Sleek Molasses Eau La La Liner Review / Swatches

I’m a massive Sleek fan, so I was excited to see the huge range of Sleek products stocked on Vanity Palace. I find it really frustrating when buying Sleek makeup as the stands in Superdrug aren’t often replenished, and their website doesn’t fair much better. I’ve been looking to buy the Sleek Molasses Eau La La Liner  for some time now, but couldn’t get hold of it.. so I’m really thrilled to have discovered Vanity Palace as they stock a huge amount of makeup brands.

Sleek Molasses Eau La La Liner

The Sleek Eau La La Liners are described by Sleek as being long lasting, highly pigmented and suitable for use as an eyeliner or lipliner. Vanity Palace stock eight of the twenty shades available at £4.99 each. When it comes to eyeliner, I’m pretty loyal to the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-One Eye Pencils as they’re so incredible so I was interested to try Sleek’s offering to see how it compares?

The first obvious difference is the price as the Sleek Eau La La Liner’s are just £4.99 each whereas the Urban Decay Liners are £14 each.. not only that, the Sleek liners contain 1.9g of product however the Urban Decay liners contain just 1.2g. So for £9 less you’re getting .7g more product which is amazing. The Sleek Eau La La Liner is so long and will undoubtedly last for a very long time.

Sleek Molasses Eau La La Liner is a dark, rich, chocolate brown shade with a matte finish which is a very close dupe in terms of shade and finish for Urban Decay’s West liner (swatch). The very first time I swatched this Sleek Molasses I was literally blown away by how incredibly smooth, creamy and pigmented the liner was as it glided across my skin.. which is definitely on par with Urban Decay, which I never expected.

Sleek claim their Eau La La Liner’s are long lasting.. which I agree with wholeheartedly. The Sleek Molasses Eau La La Liner does NOT budge from my lid, nor waterline all day long and I have to place a Bioderma soaked cotton pad on each eye for around ten seconds to break the formula down, which is incredible. Even the swatches in the last photo took intensive scrubbing with a wet wipe to remove after being on my skin a matter of minutes.

Just like the Urban Decay liners, Molasses is so creamy and once applied, can be blended out with a blending brush providing you move fast, as it sets fast. If you have greasy eyelids, or watery eyes that make wearing eyeliner difficult, you must try one/some of these Sleek Eau La La Liners. I am so, totally impressed by my first Sleek liner that I’ve already purchased three other shades as they’re genuinely as good, if not better than the Urban Decay equivalent for under five pounds…
