Hand cream is a product that I use throughout the day as I really don’t like my hands to feel dry or tight. When it comes to hand cream I like to own different types; a lightweight cream which absorbs instantly without any lasting residue or stickiness but still moisturising enough to soften and hydrate my hands. I also like to use a more intensive, thicker cream which I can apply liberally before going to bed, and allow it to absorb and work its magic whilst I sleep. Having a day and night hand cream may sound obsessive but I’ve noticed a considerable difference in the condition of both my nails and cuticles since I began a proper hand care regime (read post on said regime here), where I also apply a thin coat of OPI Nail Envy (matte) each night too. My nails are back to their longer, strong and healthy former self which I’m delighted about. Nail polish looks so much better than it did on my short, stumpy nails. My ‘day’ hand cream changes on a daily basis as I’m a fickle soul and enjoy changing it up, however the one I’ve repurchased countless times within the last five years is the Soap & Glory Hand Food Hand Cream.

I’m a huge lover of the whole Soap & Glory brand, but their bath and body products really are fabulous with the Soap & Glory Hand Food being no exception. What I particularly like about Soap & Glory Hand Food is that they do three different sizes; this full size
£5 125ml tube, a large £7 250ml pump bottle and a handbag hero size £2.50 50ml.
Soap & Glory Hand Food Review
I have to admit that Hand Food isn’t the most hydrating hand cream I’ve come across, as it only leaves my hands feeling moisturised for around 2-3 hours. Containing shea-butter, macadamia oil and mallow extract which claim to soften and rejuvenate the hands.
However it is the most convenient, in that it absorbs instantly without any sticky residue. Being a Soap & Glory product, Hand Food was always going to smell amazing – which it really does. The scent includes fresh bergamot, strawberries, mandarin, musk, amber and vanilla.
If you’re looking for an
hand cream you can throw in your bag and use during the day for instant (albeit short lived) hydration as well as leaving your hands smelling divine and not feeling tacky, then I’d really recommend Hand Food as it’s a great product. Although if you require a cream that offers a more intense, long lasting hydration boost during the day, I don’t think Soap & Glory Hand Food is the hand cream for you.
