Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Smoke Review / Swatches

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils are my absolute favourite eyeliner pencils. They have such an amazing formula in that they’re creamy, extremely pigmented, long-lasting and available in a huge array of shades. The liners are also available in a variety of finishes too; glitter, satin, matte and shimmer. Last year Urban Decay relaunched their 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils and now the barrel of the pencil’s finish reflects the finish of the shade within which I love, especially as I own a lot of different shades.

The newest addition to my Urban Decay eyeliner collection is Smoke, which I got as a free gift for purchasing two Urban Decay products from LookFantastic last year. It’s the travel size, but it still contains 0.8g of product whereas the full size contains 1.2g and retail for £14, so this is still worth £9 and it takes me forever to finish an eyeliner pencil anyway so travel sizes are ideal to decide if you like the formula or not.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Smoke

The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Smoke has a matte finish, and is a dark grey shade. I really love this shade as it looks so much softer than a black liner for when I want a non-dramatic smoky eye. The pigmentation of Smoke is very good but it’s not as smooth, and rich as the other shades in my collection.

If this was the first liner I’d tried from Urban Decay, I’d be very happy with the pigmentation but after trying the likes of Perversion (the smoothest, creamiest, pigmented black liner in the world – in my opinion), I can’t help but feel a little disappointed. If you’ve never tried an Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil, I cannot recommend them enough.. they’re absolutely amazing.. however Smoke just won’t wow you as much as the majority of their other shades.
