Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer Fair Review and Swatches

Finding an affordable concealer when you’re extremely pale is an expensive, laborious task. Concealers that ‘match’ whilst you’re instore, turn out to be full on orange as soon as you test them in your own home. Drugstore brands just don’t cater for the very pale, or the very dark skintones which is so frustrating as pale skin isn’t exactly a rarity. The Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer is without a doubt my most repurchased beauty product – ever. I must have bought maybe twenty or more tubes over the last seven years I’ve been religiously using it.

The Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer £4.19 is available in four different shades, with fair being the very lightest – and my shade of choice. This concealer has magically disappeared from all the shops recently, which led to mass blogger panic thanks to whispers of it being discontinued.. but fear not, they have just upgraded the packaging, and given it somewhat of a face lift.. phew.

Claiming to conceal flaws, imperfections and blemishes for upto 16 hours. This particular tube claims to be transfer resistant but the new upgraded packaging carries a new claim that it is now water resistant which is impressive.

Fair isn’t the best match for my skintone, sadly.. however it’s definitely a shade I can make work with copious blending. It has quite a strong yellow undertone, when I have a pink undertone. The Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer has a very thick consistency, which really works wonders at covering blemishes.

Due to how thick it is, it does have a tendency to highlight blemishes if the skin is broken, however the coverage is just perfect. I would have to disagree with the 16 hour weartime claim, as I find myself needing a touch up after around six hours which is still fantastic in itself.

This concealer is ideal for blemishes and imperfections, but really doesn’t work well when applied on the under-eye area as it’s so thick, it just sinks into any fine lines and looks a little cakey. Even though I love the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer (review) this £4.19 Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer will always be my holy grail concealer. The hype surrounding this concealer is completely justified, it’s just so good.
