Mother’s Day is approaching at an alarming rate (Sunday the 30th March as an heads up for those who are unaware), so it’s time to decide on what you’re going to give your gorgeous Mum. I really love Mother’s Day as I really enjoy being able to spoil my Mum, and making her feel special.. although I of course always endeavour to do this all year round. When it comes to choosing the perfect Mother’s Day gift/s each year, I always opt for the more thoughtful gifts that often carry a special hidden meaning.. however small. I am so excited to give my Mum the Links of London Dream Catcher Rose Gold Pendant this year as it really is incredibly special and I just know it’s going to make her emotional.
Have you ever seen or received a piece of jewellery that has made you make an audible ‘wow’? Well that’s what I did when I laid my eyes on on this Dream Catcher Rose Gold necklace for the very first time. Hand on heart, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a beautiful necklace as this.. it’s just so pretty, so sparkly and so amazing. The Links of London Dream Catcher Rose Gold Pendant £120* hangs from an 18 inch diamond cut sterling silver chain which is a piece of art in itself.

With every move of the necklace, the multi-faceted chain sparkles in the light. I really love how the chain isn’t a thin, frail trace chain… It’s still rather dainty so it doesn’t detract from the pendant. It has been very well made that you’d be able to wear the necklace without worrying about it breaking and losing your pendant. The chain has a lobster claw clasp which I always prefer as I find them a lot less fiddly than the smaller, more intricate clasps that are seemingly impossible to do.
The Links of London Dream Catcher Rose Gold Pendant is described as a modern reinterpretation of the Native American Indian symbol of protection. The lightweight and willow-like 18ct Rose Gold frame holds the intricate web of diamond-cut glitter wire. The diamond-cut glitter wire matches the necklace chain, and just like the chain it sparkles so much with every movement.
I adore the contrast of the smooth rose gold, against the textured glitter wire, it just makes the rose gold disc really stand out. The pendant is really nice size at roughly the size of a pound coin. The glitter wire which is wrapped around the rose gold disc, gives the pendant a lovely thickness that means that the pendant doesn’t lay flat against the skin, and gives it more dimension.
Not only is the Links of London Dream Catcher Rose Gold Pendant the most beautiful necklace I’ve ever seen, I love the symbolism behind the Dream Catcher style and that’s why I know my Mum is going to absolutely love this necklace come Mother’s Day. When I was a little girl I always used to have horrible nightmares, and my Mum bought me a selection of dream catchers to hang in my bedroom to ‘catch’ all of the evils, and bad dreams so I wouldn’t have them.
Every morning I’d make her shake each of my dream catchers to rid them of the bad dreams so they were ready for bedtime.. and she did this same routine for me for years. So to be able to give her, her very own, very special dream catcher is going to be amazing. I have fallen head over heels for this stunning, intricate necklace and I know she’s going to be thrilled to receive it… it’s amazing.
