Makeup Revolution have four different types of blush; Vivid Blush Lacquer, Powder Blush, Cream Blush and Baked Blush. I really love baked blushes as they give such a beautiful finish to the skin, and Makeup Revolution have six shades within their Vivid Baked Blush range at a very purse friendly £2.50 each and contain an impressive 6g of product. I have the shade Loved Me The Best*. What I particularly love about the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Blusher, is that every single blush is unique in its veining so the swatches will differ from blush to blush to reflect this.
Just like their Vivid Baked Highlighters (reviewed here) the Vivid Baked Blushes are packaged within a round plastic compact, with a clear domed lid which are great for seeing which shade is contained inside. Loved Me The Best is such a pretty shade.. it has a peachy pink base, with metallic cranberry coloured veining.
I like that the veining is mostly on the left of the blush, so you can choose to use either side of the blush for two different shades/effects or three if you choose to swirl your brush over both sides. Using the side where the veining is, gives a darker more metallic finish whereas the side without the veining is a lot more subtle.
The pigmentation of the Vivid Baked Blusher is amazing as is the texture.. it’s so silky and smooth, and blends beautifully onto the cheeks. I like to use my Real Techniques Blush Brush to apply the blush to the apples of my cheeks, and the subtle shimmer gives a gorgeous glow to my skin without needing to use a separate highlighter. It’s such a beautiful blusher.. I just can’t believe it’s only £2.50 – if you love shimmery blushes, you must give the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Blusher a try.
