Models Own Polish For Tans Beach Bag Nail Polish

The Models Own Polish For Tans Collection is the newest Models Own release, with five tan enhancing neon shades which are undoubtedly going to be one of Models Own most popular launches yet. All five shades are extremely bright and are said to compliment a tan, and although I never tan due to being so pale, I still love a good neon nail polish. They’ve supposedly been mixed with a white base to create a ‘neon-pastel’ formulation, which gives a stronger, bolder colour.

The first shade I opted for from the Models Own Polish For Tans collection was Beach Bag £5, was I’d describe as a lightly muted highlighter-orange shade which is just amazingly bright.. it’s impossible to feel glum with this shade on your nails, it’s definitely a mood enhancer as well as a tan enhancer. Even though I don’t have a tan, I feel that when I wear this polish, it miraculously makes my skin appear bronzed.

The formula isn’t as easy to apply as their standard line of polishes, but I’ve found it best to apply it with three thin coats to get a streak-free finish. Once dried the polish has a satin finish, but I always apply my ORLY Glosser Topcoat (reviewed here) to give a super glossy finish and prolong the wear of my polish.

I really love this new Models Own Polish For Tans collection, although I don’t think I’m daring enough to wear Bikini; the extremely vivid yellow or Flip Flop; an luminous, toxic green.. I just don’t think they’d be very flattering on my skintone. I can’t wait to wear Beach Bag on my toes this Summer, as it’ll be such a gorgeous shade for wearing with sandals or flip flops. Models Own are on fire with their collections right now.. I can’t wait to see what their next collection will be – I’d love to see a range of super holographic polishes.
