W7 Face Blender Brush – £4 Illamasqua Blush Up Brush Dupe..

When placing one of my more recent Fragrance Direct hauls, I came across their selection of W7 Makeup Brushes. I’ve never seen any reviews of W7’s makeup brushes before so I had no idea if they’d be any good, but when I saw the W7 Face Blender Brush, I knew it had to be mine. Retailing for just £4.25, W7 describe the Face Blender Brush as being a multi-purpose brush for applying blusher, bronzer and powder. The brush has a nice, solid, wooden handle with a black, metal ferrule which I really like.. it makes the brush feel so much more expensive than it is. The bristles are black and synthetic and feel so amazingly soft.. so much softer than I ever expected from a budget beauty brand like W7.

The bristles of the brush are uniquely shaped into a narrow, angled style which is extremely similar to the Illamasqua Blush Up Brush £28.50 except the bristles of this W7 brush are curved rather than being straight. This brush is an absolute DREAM for contouring.. the shape, and design of the bristles mean that it’s able to tuck under your cheekbone and move back and forth effortlessly to blend the powder/cream contour beautifully.

I’m somewhat of a contouring noob, but this brush makes contouring literally foolproof.. it does all of the work for you, and is the best brush I’ve ever used for contouring. The W7 Face Blender Brush allows you to go as subtle or intense as you’d like but still manages to look natural every time.

I just can’t praise this little gem of a brush enough.. for £4.25 it’s an absolute bargain and I urge you to snap one up if you love contouring or would like to learn how to do it. It’s an absolutely amazing brush and I love how easy it is to use, and how much it transforms my face – it’s love.
