If you watch beauty YouTube videos then I guarantee you’ll have seen GLAMGLOW feature in an huge number of monthly favourite videos. GLAMGLOW is a massive cult beauty favourite that is raved about by the masses, and one I’ve been lusting after for at least a year. GLAMGLOW is described as being able to revive the skin and keep it glowing for days after application. The award winning GLAMGLOW Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment works to gently resurface the skin, tighten, tones and lifts for a youthful looking, radiant complexion and comes with quite a hefty price tag of £49.99
My skin is mainly dry and dehydrated however I do have frequent hormonal breakouts along my jawline which drive me insane. As they’re hormonal breakouts, nothing ever stops them in their tracks… spot treatments and the like just quicken the recovery time or reduce the pain and inflammation. I’ve been so intrigued by GLAMGLOW because of all the amazing before, during and after shots of the mask in action and the results really do speak for themselves. Although my breakouts are confined to my jawline, I do have the odd pesky blackhead on my chin or on the side of my nose which refuse to budge no matter what products I use.
GLAMGLOW’s packaging really is luxurious.. the box has a rubberised texture to it with a cardboard cradle inside holding the jar securely. The 50ml ‘jar’ is actually made of metal which I didn’t expect, but it adds to the overall luxe appearance. Once you’ve unscrewed the lid, the contents is secured underneath a foil lid.
The instructions advise mixing the mask before use to liquefy the contents.. At first it looks like a pot of lumpy mud, but by gently mixing it, it becomes a lot thinner in consistency and a lot easier to apply. The first time I applied the mask, I used my fingertips which was very messy and quite difficult as the mask started to dry on my finger, making it hard for me to apply more to my face.
The next couple of times I used it, I applied it with a makeup brush – I’ve found that paddle like foundation brushes are the best at creating an even covering of the mask. The mask has a slightly gritty texture, which aids with the exfoliation when it comes to rinsing the mask away.
I’d read a lot of reviews where people mentioned how good GLAMGLOW smelt, but I’m personally not a fan of the scent at all. To me, it just smells of liquorice and/or aniseed but the unappealing scent is definitely bearable. The inclusion of ‘tingle’ within the name of the mask prepared me for a tingling sensation once applied, however I didn’t expect the tingle to be quite as extreme as it was.
It was quite uncomfortable for a couple of minutes (roughly around five minutes after I’d applied it) but luckily the uncomfortable tingle/burning sensation does ease as the mask begins to dry. When you first apply GLAMGLOW to the skin, it’s a very dark grey colour which lightens considerably as it dries. Once the mask has dried and set completely, it’s a very pale grey colour and it take about 15 minutes to dry completely, although it does depend on how thickly you apply the mask.
I’ve read so many rave reviews of the GLAMGLOW Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment that I had very high hopes, and I’m incredibly happy to say that it really really does live up to its hype.. although part of me is gutted as I’m going to have have this pricey little miracle worker in my stash forever. Yes GLAMGLOW is expensive.. however I have never, ever used a face mask that gives such noticeable, instant results.
Once I’ve rinsed away the mask my skin is instantly so much clearer, and the congestion within my pores is significantly reduced and my pores look so much smaller. You can apply
GLAMGLOW to the angriest of blemishes and after you’ve rinsed the mask away after twenty minutes, the blemish will be
massively reduced.
My
skin is really sensitive so I expected this mask to leave it looking very red post-treatment, but it really doesn’t which amazes me everytime I use it. I just can’t put into words how amazing this little pot of mud is.. my skin looks incredible, feels incredible and the effects lasts for days after you’ve applied the treatment too.
I’m so happy to have this skincare gem within my skincare stash, and I genuinely couldn’t recommend the GLAMGLOW Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment enough and I’m now eyeing up the Supermud Clearing Treatment, now I’ve got the ‘GLAMGLOW bug’….
Have you ever tried the GLAMGLOW Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment?
