Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara Review

The Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara £18* is described as giving ‘out-to-there length and fine tuned separation with a feathery look’. It has a waterproof, tearproof and smudgeproof formula that lasts upto 12 hours making it ideal for wearing on holiday or to the gym. The Feathering Mascara is designed to be a buildable mascara that doesn’t clump which made me excited as I love to build my mascara up for dramatic lashes, however I despise spider leg clumpy lashes.

Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara Review

The Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara’s brush is amazing, it’s quite rounded with individual bristles in lots of directions which I’ve never seen on a mascara wand before. The bristles are tapered towards the ends too, making it easy to apply product to the smallest of lashes without smudging mascara all over my face. The first coat of the Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara is very minimal, and is barely visible on my lashes, so I went ahead and applied a further coat, and that’s where this mascara comes into its own.. it definitely needs at least two coats for the feathered effect to appear.

I personally love my lashes to be quite dramatic as the rest of my makeup is typically quite natural on a day-to-day basis, so I prefer to opt for three coats of this mascara and it really doesn’t clump. The more coats you apply, the more dramatic your lashes look.. the individual bristles on the wand help to comb your lashes so that your lashes are beautifully separated for the ‘feather’ effect.

The only downside with the Lash Power Feathering Mascara is that it only contains 5.5ml of product, which I imagine will last no more than two months with three coats needed with every use but the long wearing, heat resistant formula is definitely worth it, in my opinion.. Plus it removes incredibly easily with micellar water and is super gentle on my sensitive eyes.
