Soap & Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush Review / Swatches

The Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint and Pencil is one of my all time favourite brow products so I was excited to see that they’d launched a new brow offering; the Soap & Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush. The Archery 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil & Brush is available in two shades; Blondshell and Hot Chocolate and retails for £8.

I chose the shade Hot Chocolate in the hope it’d be a good match, however the shades have different names to their Brow Tint and Pencil. Soap & Glory describe their new release as being a ‘magic wand’ that shapes, defines and leaves a thicker, fuller natural finish. I was surprised by how skinny this pencil is, as it’s a lot thinner than the Brow Archery pencil, although I do think that the thinner packaging allows for more precise application.

One end of the Soap & Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil has a small spoolie, and the other end is the actual pencil itself; both ends have tightly fitting caps to protect the product. The design of this product is definitely very similar to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, and I imagine it’ll be labelled a dupe by the masses.. everyone loves a good dupe, although I personally don’t think it is a ‘dupe’ although it’s definitely very similar.

The pencil end of the brush is exceptionally fine (whereas the pencil end of the Archery Brow Tint duo is rather chunky) so it allows you to ‘draw’ small strokes within your brows to mimic hair to build up your brows to your chosen intensity.

The big difference for me with the Archery Pencil and the ABH Brow Wiz is that the pencil of this is firmer and slightly waxier in consistency, and you do have to press a little harder with this pencil but not excessively so.

The upside of this is that it should last longer than the Brow Wiz as it’s not exceptionally soft.. and I do think that the slightly waxy formulation helps it stay in place for longer, as it’s impressively long lasting. I love that this pencil can be used for a super soft and natural brow, or you can use it to create a more intense statement brow and again it still looks quite natural.

I think £8.50 is a great price for the Soap & Glory Archery 2 in 1 Brow Filling Pencil although it does contain a very small amount of product (0.085g) so I’m interested to see how long this pencil lasts compared to the original Soap & Glory Archery as that contains two ends of product whereas this has just the one.

I do really like this brow pencil, and I love how good the shade match is.. but I think the Sleek Eyebrow Stylist is much better value as it contains 0.22g and is £2 cheaper at £5.99… plus, it’s available in three shades rather than two.
