Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette Review / Swatches

When Wilkinsons had a 3 for 2 offer on all Essence products, I decided the offer was too good to ignore and made an order online of all the products I’ve been wanting to try. One of the products I bought was the Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette which was only £3.50. I loved the selection of shades within the palette as they were slightly different to the typical nude palette.

The palette contains six square eyeshadows in clear plastic packaging that feels quite sturdy for such a cheap palette. Inside the palette there is a glittery pale champagne, a shimmery medium pink, a shimmery pale gold, a shimmery baby pink, a taupe with a satin finish and a dark berry shade with a slightly shimmery finish.

When I swatched the shades for the first time, I was surprised by how many times I had to swirl my fingertip within the pan to pick up enough shadow to create a swatch that would be visible on camera. The shadows are all very soft in texture, almost as if they have a cream consistency.. but they perform much better when applied with a brush as it seemed to break some sort of seal over the surface of the shadows.

All of the shades in the Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette are really pretty, and generally quite pinky toned.. I particularly like the taupe and cranberry shades on the bottom row. I don’t think the pigmentation of this palette is amazing.. the shadows definitely need a primer layered underneath them, but for £3.50 I think the Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow Palette is a nice enough palette but I think I’d rather pay another 50p and purchase a Makeup Revolution palette as their shadows are much more pigmented, smoother in texture and longer lasting…
