Now the colder weather is upon us, my dry skin has become exceptionally dry so I’ve had to change up my skincare regime to try and lock in as much moisture as possible and the product which has helped the most is the Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase £42*. The HydraQuench Intensive Serum is described as being an invisible yet comfortable bi-phase serum that acts at all levels of the skin to help restore the skin’s natural hydration mechanisms, whilst replenishing the thirstiest of skins to promote soft, comfortable, radiant and matte skin.
The HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase contains Hyaluronic Acid which is known for being an anti-inflammatory, and being particularly effective at locking moisture into the skin, whilst leaving it looking plump. It also contains Katafray extract to help restore the skin’s surface and prevent dehydration, Sorbier Bud extract to reinforce the skin’s hydration and radiance, Inca Peanut extract to restore the hydrolipidic film and Chondrus Crispus extract to help stimulate the skin’s natural moisturisation process.
The serum has a bi-phase formula which needs a vigorous shake before use, to ensure the oil and the serum are fully blended together. This serum is suitable for all skin types, including those will oily skin as even oilier skin type require moisturisation and hydration to slow down the production of oil within the skin.
Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase Review
The incredible Lisa Eldridge hails the Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase as one of her favourite skincare products, so I knew I had to give it a try for myself. The bottle is really luxurious with a frosted, blue glass bottle complete with pump for fuss-free application. Once you’ve shaken the serum together and dispensed into your palm, it has a very watery finish where it’s very runny. The watery consistency is incredibly easily to massage into the skin as it’s very lightweight.. it genuinely feels as if I’m massaging water into my skin,
which is so unique to any other serum I’ve tried.
When first applied, the Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase serum feels instantly cooling upon the skin which feels so soothing especially on my dry patches, and it absorbs within a matter of seconds without leaving any residue on the skin’s surface.
Once I’ve massaged the serum into my skin, I can proceed to apply my makeup without having to wait around which I love. The HydraQuench Serum leaves my skin instantly feeling soft, smooth and hydrated and after using it twice a day for over a month, I’ve since ditched all of my other serums as nothing compares to the results I get from this serum.. with my skin feeling hydrated and radiant.
