When the seasons change, we tend to change up our makeup especially when Autumn rolls around where brights and pastels are ditched in favour of deep and dark hues.. however I personally like to wear brights and pastels all year round, regardless of seasons. My current favourite polish is Essie Naughty Nautical which was part of Essie’s 2013 Summer Collection.
Naughty Nautical is a stunning, bright teal shade containing micro silver glitter particles which looks so pretty on the nails, although the shimmer is only visible under electric light or in direct sunlight. I really love that the glitter within this shade is very minute so it doesn’t make removal difficult like most glittery polishes
. I tend to wear the bolder nail polishes on my toes rather than my fingernails, but I thought this shade would look stunning on both my toes and my fingernails.
Essie Naughty Nautical Nail Polish Review / Swatches
Essie Naughty Nautical £7.99
Naughty Nautical has a great formula that applies evenly, without leaving any streak marks. I find that it takes two generous coats for full opacity although sometimes the whites of my nails are still slightly visible. Essie polishes
never seem to wear for very long on my nails, and Essie Naughty Nautical is no different with chipping after three days, but the colour is just so vibrant and lovely on the nails, I really don’t mind reapplying.. especially as each coat dries quickly, and it doesn’t stain my nails.
I think it’s a super pretty summery polish and it’s a shade which I’ve heard so much about, so I’m really glad I finally tried it for myself. If you have a shade similar to Essie’s
Naughty Nautical which you’d recommend I’d love to know as I wish this had better staying power as I love the shade so much.
Have you ever tried the Essie Naughty Nautical polish?
