Becca is a brand I’ve always wanted to try after watching so many YouTubers rave about their liquid and powder Shimmering Skin Perfectors in particular but seeing as they’re £33 and £30 each, I just couldn’t decide on which shade to buy. Whilst I was perusing the SpaceNK website a few weeks ago, I came across the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlights Kit £20 which was the most perfect set so I snapped it up whilst SpaceNK had free delivery on all orders.

The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlights Kit is a SpaceNK exclusive, and it includes three shades of the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors in; Pearl, Champagne Gold and Opal in 5ml tubes. You can purchase the full sizes of both Pearl and Opal, but Champagne Gold is an exclusive shade to this set. Each of the tubes are clear, so you can clearly see which shade is which, and also how much product is left.
Each of the ‘Spotlights’ have a doe-foot applicator which I love as it makes application incredibly easy, as I simply dot the applicator along my cheekbones, browbones, cupids bow and bridge of my nose and then either use my fingertip to blend it in, or use my e.l.f. Studio Small Stipple Brush.
The full size bottles have a pump which from reviews I’ve read, are quite annoying as they dispense too much product resulting in wastage so this precise applicator is so much better as you only need the smallest amount of product per application, so I envisage these tubes lasting for a very long time.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlights Kit Review / Swatches
The first shade in the kit is Pearl, which is my favourite from the duo. Pearl is a cool-toned white, which creates the most stunning glistening glow to the skin making it look like it’s lit from within which is such a cliché saying, but it’s really true.
Pearl also looks really pretty when worn on the eyelid as an eyeshadow, or you could even apply a small amount over the top of any lip products to add a subtly sparkle. I will definitely purchase the full size of Pearl, if I ever run out as it’s such a versatile shade.
The second shade in the set is the exclusive Champagne Gold, which is a buttery yellow gold with more of a subtle shimmer than the sparkle of Opal. I initially thought Champagne Gold might have been a little too harsh for my pale skin, but it’s really not as it’s quite subtle and it doesn’t impart any its yellow tones to my skin.. only a golden shimmer. If you have a darker skintone, I imagine this shade would look so pretty layered over a powder bronzer for a gorgeous, bronze glow.
The third and final Spotlight within the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlights Kit is Opal which is perhaps the most coveted shade from Becca. Opal is absolutely beautiful, and the most dramatic in terms of effect as it’s packed with sparkle without any glitter particles.
The sparkle is a touch warmer in tone compared to Pearl, but it’s not too warm for my skintone and looks stunning when worn alone or layered over powder blushes and bronzers. Before trying the set, I assumed that I’d never be able to make Opal work as it’s quite dark in the tube, but it would work with any skintone as it’s not tinted, it’s just packed with sparkle.
If you can’t already tell, I am head over heels in love with this amazing Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlights Kit.. infact, I think it might be my favourite giftset this Christmas, and I cannot recommend it enough. I think £20 is such fantastic value, allowing you to try three shades of the Shimmering Skin Perfectors in much more user-friendly packaging. I adore all three of these shades, and if you love using highlighters or having glowing skin, you must get your hands on this kit before it sells out as it’s beyond amazing.
