When the Glossybox December 2014 arrived on my doorstep, I was so excited to see what goodies were inside as December is well known for being the best month of beauty boxes. The December Christmas Glossybox contains five products; four of which are full size which is always exciting. The November box contained a spoiler card to tell us that the Decembox would have a Bellapierre Cheek and Lip Stain inside, but the other four products were a surprise. The box is very festive, with a red and green snowflake design which I love..

Glossybox December 2014 | Contents & First Impressions
The first product I got in the Glossybox December 2014 is the Anatomicals Zap! Zap! Zap! Gets that Chap. Day and Night Spot Stick (full size worth £3.79). Now I have to be honest and say I really don’t like Anatomicals as a brand, nor their products.. so I was disappointed to see them in the box. This is supposedly a double ended spot treatment which can be used day and night, but it’s not something I’ll be using..
My next item is the TRESémme Renewal Hair and Scalp 60 Second Treatment Shots (full size worth £5.50). I like TRESémme, and I’ve never tried this before so I’m looking forward to giving them a go as I have mild psoriasis of the scalp, so fingers crossed these will be effective at relieving the symptoms. I’m guessing these are to be used on a weekly basis, so this box is enough for a full month.
I then have the Bellapierre Cheek and Lip Stain (full size worth £12.99) which is in the shade coral. I really love cream blushes, so I’m pleased to see this in the box although I wouldn’t describe it as being a stain as it doesn’t stain the cheeks or lips. It applies beautifully once you’ve warmed it up between your fingers, and it’s such a pretty shade.
I have to be honest and say my heart sunk when I saw the So Susan Concealer Quad (worth £20) in my box. I’ve received three of these now in different beauty boxes, and it’s genuinely an awful product.
The consistency is like paint, and it’s impossible to apply.. and not to mention the cheap, unattractive packaging. There’s a fair few So Susan products that I like, but sadly this is not one.
The last product in the Glossybox December 2014 is the SkinPep HydraBoost Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum (15ml worth £5.35). I’ve never heard of SkinPep before, but this sounds like a great product as it claims to impart an healthy new skin glow, and it can be used day and night. Products containing hyaluronic acid are so popular right now, especially for those with dry skin so I’m looking forward to seeing if it can help alleviate some of my dryness.
So they are the products inside my Glossybox December 2014*. Collectively, the products are worth £47.63 which in theory is great value for just £12.95 but for me, it wasn’t my favourite Glossybox so far.
I don’t think the products inside the box are particularly festive for a ‘Christmas’ box, and I personally think their November box was actually a lot better than this box, but that’s just my personal opinion.
I’m looking forward to see what January’s box will contain…
