Makeup Revolution Pink Lights Vivid Baked Highlighter Review / Swatches

21st December 2014

The Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighters are possibly my favourite product from Makeup Revolution, and I’ve previously reviewed both Golden Lights and Peach Lights here on my blog, and seeing as I loved them so much, I knew I had to complete the trio and get my hands on the Makeup Revolution Pink Lights Vivid Baked Highlighter. The Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter range  are just £3 each, and contain a massive 7.5g of product packaged within a plastic, clear lidded compact.

In the pan, the Makeup Revolution Pink Lights Vivid Baked Highlighter £3 looks more lilac than it does pink, and I think it looks a little intimidating as the colour is quite strong for an highlighter. However as you can see in the swatch above, the strong lilac/pink shade doesn’t translate to the skin.. instead of being pink, I’d describe it as being a pretty icy silver which I actually much prefer as it’s much more wearable than a pinky lilac highlighter would be. I like to apply Pink Lights with a duo fiber brush, for a subtle glow along my cheekbones and it really does look stunning teamed with a glowy foundation.

I know this shade won’t work for everyone, especially deeper skintones as I imagine it’ll look quite ashy but for lighter skintones it really is a pretty highlighter and for £3 it is such great value – Makeup Revolution know how to do good highlighters.
