NARS is my favourite beauty brand by far, so when I saw their Christmas releases, I knew I had to indulge. The set which stole my heart the most was the NARS Digital World Lip Pencil Coffret which is limited edition and a SpaceNK exclusive. The NARS Digital World Lip Pencil Coffret contains 5 x 1.7g NARS Lip Pencils, which aren’t full size as a full size is 2.4g but each of these pencils have a value of £12.75 which is incredible, as it means this giftset with five pencils is worth £63.75, however it only costs £32.

I already own two NARS Lip pencils in the shades Bolero and Rikugien, so I was thrilled to discover I didn’t already own any of the fives shades within the NARS Digital World Lip Pencil Coffret. I love the packaging of the Digital World Lip Pencil Coffret, inside a stunning acrylic box with a white, winter-esque design which makes for perfect makeup storage. The set includes three Satin Lip Pencils; Torres del Paine, Descanso and Yu and two Velvet Matte Lip Pencils; Iberico and Cruella.
NARS Digital World Lip Pencil Coffret Review and Swatches
I absolutely love the range of shades within this NARS Digital World Lip Pencil Coffret.. they really do have all bases covered with a nude, my-lips-but-better, neon brights and a vampy red. Three of the five shades are actually limited edition (Torres del Paine, Descanso and Iberico) which made me want this set even more.
Torres del Paine (Satin) is the shade I thought I’d like the most, but in all fairness it really doesn’t suit my skintone and it has a strong yellow undertone. It’s described as being a peach coral, but to me it’s more of a peachy brown which I just can’t pull off, no matter how hard I try, unfortunately. Torres del Paine applies evenly, and sits on the lips nicely without settling into fine lines.
Descanso (Satin) is my perfect nude, and it was love at first swipe. I’d describe Descanso as being a peachy nude with amazing coverage that applies beautifully and feels slightly hydrating on the lips. If I’m ever unsure which lip colour to go for, Descanso compliments any blush colour making it really versatile.
Yu (Satin) is described by NARS as a shocking pink, which is exactly what Yu is. It’s a very bright, almost neon blue-toned pink. Yu applies really smoothly, with intense pigmentation that leaves the lips stained for hours once the pencil has worn away, with a wear time of around five to seven hours depending on eating and drinking.
Iberico (Velvet Matte) is another super bright shade, this time an intense orange. For a matte pencil, Iberico applies relatively smoothly but the colour does need to be built up for full opacity as it feels a little waxy. Once on the lips, Iberico feels very matte and dry so I’d recommend using a lip balm like the NUXE Reve de Miel over the top, just to add a little moisture and make it more comfortable.
Cruella (Velvet Matte) is the most amazing, scarlet red with a blue undertone. This is the nicest red I’ve ever tried, and I love how white it makes my teeth look. Cruella is a little more drying than Iberico, but a light layer of balm underneath helps to minimise that. This is definitely the most longwearing shade from the set, as it’s very staining but it doesn’t bleed or transfer so it makes it easy to wear.
I am so happy that I bought the Digital World set, and I would totally recommend it if you like the look of these shades as it’s such amazing value. My favourite shade would have to be Descanso as it’s just so wearable, but Cruella is a close second as it’s the ultimate red.
