The Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil is my favourite piece from their new Garden Escape Collection, and is unlike any other lip product I’ve ever tried. The Instant Light Lip Comfort Oils are available in two shades; Honey and Raspberry and retail for £18 each. The Lip Oils are designed to nourish the lips with a glossy, crystal-like non sticky shine to enhance the natural beauty of the lips. Clarins have used a blend of hazelnut oil, mirabelle and organic jojoba oils for a comforting yet soothing effect.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil Review
The Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil packaging is very sleek, in a 7ml clear plastic tube with a gold lid. The applicator is quite large, and flat making it really easy to apply the oil quickly and evenly, and the neck of the tube is quite tight so it removes any excess oil so it’s completely mess-free.
Once applied to the lips, the oil leaves them super shiny like a lip gloss without the stickiness and gloopiness of a gloss. During the time the oil is on the lips, the oil begins to penetrate the lips to leave them feeling amazingly nourished, soft and smooth within only an hour of being on my lips.
I have the Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in the shade Honey* which is named after its colour and flavour, although I can’t honestly say I can detect a honey flavour, but it definitely has a subtle honey scent. Honey doesn’t add any colour to the lips, but if you want a tinted version, Raspberry offers a slight pink tint.
I can’t believe other brands haven’t created Lip Oils before, as it’s just so effective at quickly nourishing and soothing the lips and it’s amazing to apply before bed as you’re guaranteed to wake up to very soft and smooth lips. I also love applying this Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil as a light layer over lipsticks or lip stains, to inject some moisture especially over matte finishes.. it’s a serious must-have.
