If you’ve read my review of the Clarins Blush Prodige, 6-Colour Eye Palette or Instant Light Comfort Lip Oil, you’ll already be aware of how much I love the new Clarins Garden Escape Spring Collection. As part of the Garden Escape Collection, Clarins launched a range of six different shades of Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors which are described as beautifying lip balms for incredibly irresistible lips. The Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors are £18 each, and have a melting gel-like consistency which glides across the lips to add a naturally coloured glossy shine with a barely there effect.
Each
Lip Balm Perfector is said to provide upto 4 hours of hydration, to leave the lips looking plumper and fuller. They contain wild mango butter which helps prevent dehydration whilst nourishing the lips and delivering comfort and moisture, as well as shea butter which nourishes and protects the epidermis for a silky smooth finish.
When I first saw the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors, I thought they looked quite similar to the Benefit Benebalms however the difference is that these are actually packed with lip nourishing ingredients and are proven to improve the appearance, and texture of the lips.
The packaging of these Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors is really lovely, with the Clarins trademark sleek gold lids and a
coloured plastic base to match the colour of the balm inside. Each tube is compact, with the balm having a small angled tip which makes them easy to apply without having to use a mirror which is fab for on the go.
Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors Review / Swatches
From the range of six Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors shades on offer, I have three; 01 Rose*, 04 Orange* and 06 Rosewood* and I simply adore all three shades. Rose is a pretty, medium yellow toned pink, Orange is a bright orange-toned coral and Rosewood is the prettiest pinky brown nude.
Due to the nature of these balms, they’re not going to impart opaque
colour to the lips.. instead they give a pretty
tint with a glossy finish that really does leave the lips looking juicy and fuller. Their sheer tint makes them extremely wearable, and I’d imagine all six shades being super flattering for all skintones.
Their glossiness helps the balms glide across the lips without any prior lip-prep needed, leaving a delicious sweet taste to the lips which if you already own the original Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector, you’ll already be a fan of as it’s the same sweet scent and taste. Just like any lipbalm, these aren’t particularly long wearing.. but show me a lipbalm that is?
However once the tint has faded, the hydrating benefits of the balm can still be detected on the lips and I’m not going to lie, the taste and scent makes them fun to reapply so it’s not a big issue anyway. I think these are going to be a very popular release for Clarins, especially during the Summer when you want to wear a touch of colour on the lips without the hassle of melted or smudged lipstick and I could totally be alone in this but doesn’t the Orange shade remind you of tropical Solero Ice-creams? Roll on summer…
