Until a few weeks ago, I’d never tried a Chloé fragrance when I received a sample of Chloé Love Story in an online order and I instantly fell in love and knew I had to get my hands on the full size. Chloé Love Story Eau De Parfum £47* only launched back in late 2014, and is said to be inspired by Parisian romance and the love padlocks on the famous Ponts de Arts bridge which I think is a beautiful sentiment, especially as the padlock design of the bottle reflects this very influence. Chloe fragrances always have exquisite bottles with beautiful attention to detail. The Chloe Love Story Eau de Parfum has a floral composition with top notes of orange blossom and neroli, middle notes of Madagascan Stephanotis Jasmine and base notes of cedarwood and musk.
With fragrances, I tend to favour more sensual and spicy scents so I’d never have chosen Love Story from the list of notes but I’ve never been so bowled over by a fragrance.. it’s absolutely stunning and I really did fall in love the very first time I tried it. When first spritzed on the skin, it smells very fruity but the longer it’s on the skin, the warmer and sweeter it gets due to the musk.. it’s such a beautifully complex fragrance. I love that it’s not overly floral, and that is a sexy yet romantic scent which is perfect for evening wear. Chloé Love Story has become my new favourite perfume.. I just can’t get enough of it and its elegance, and the bottle looks so pretty on my dressing table. It lasts amazingly on the skin and the I can still detect it on the skin almost 12 hours later which is amazing, and it’s the kind of fragrance which always gets compliments which I love.
