For their Spring collection, Clarins released a range of six new Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors as well as two new shades of their Joli Rouge Brilliant Sheer Shine Lipsticks in Coral Dahlia and Rose Petal. I can’t resist a coral lipstick, so I couldn’t wait to try Coral Dahlia. The Clarins Joli Rouge Brilliant Lipsticks are £19 each and claim to combine the transparent colour and shine of a lip gloss, with the creamy texture of a lipstick. The Clarins Coral Dahlia Joli Rouge Brilliant Lipstick contains an unique extreme shine, Maxi Lip Complex with Mango Butter which helps to plump and hydrate for full, soft and supple lips whilst deeply moisturising with the benefits of a lipbalm.

Clarins Coral Dahlia Joli Rouge Brilliant Lipstick

Coral Dahlia is a vibrant red-toned orange shade rather than a coral like the name would suggest, however if you know the actual Coral Dahlia flower you’ll know that this is the very same shade of the petals. Even though it looks very bright in the bullet, the formulation of the lipstick makes it a lot more wearable in my opinion.
The consistency of the lipstick is similar to that of a lip butter, except the colour is more intense and it feels much more moisturising on the lips than a lip butter. I’d describe the Clarins Joli Rouge formula as being the ultimate lipbalm, lipgloss and lipstick hybrid in such stunning packaging and I’d love to try some of the other shades in the range.
