Clarins are adding a new foundation to their already extensive range on the 15th of February, which has an improved formula of their bestselling Everlasting Foundation, which claims to deliver even longer hold, improved comfort and flawless coverage for upto 18 hours. The Clarins Everlasting Foundation + £29* is said to have an High Fidelity System which is an invisible microfilm of new generation silicones; 100% natural hectorite powders.

This new generation of silicones are able to bond with the skin’s own hydrolipidic film and the hectorite controls shine thus delivering impressive day-long matte coverage with an SPF of 15. The High Fidelity System also ensures that the colour pigments are evenly distributed and super adherent to give a flawless complexion and even colour all day long.
The new formula also contains bamboo powder which has mattifying properties, which give exceptional hold whilst minimising the appearance of dark spots, imperfections and redness for a truly flawless base.
Clarins Everlasting Foundation + Review / Swatches
There are going to be ten shades available of the Everlasting Foundation +, and I have the palest shade; Porcelain 102.5 which if I’m totally honest isn’t particularly pale and I have to mix it with my Face Atelier Ultra Foundation Zero Minus which is a white foundation to create the perfect shade. The foundation has amazing pigmentation and coverage with the amount shown above (one pump) being enough for my whole face for medium coverage, but you can add another half of a pump for full coverage.
Once applied, the Clarins Everlasting Foundation + dries down to a matte finish which doesn’t feel at all chalky or tight on the skin, instead it leaves my skin feeling velvety smooth. If you have oily skin, you will absolutely love this foundation as it keeps shine at bay all day long and although I have dry skin, I do have quite shiny skin as I use such intensive moisturisers and the shine is instantly totally mattified.
Just like any matte foundation, the Everlasting Foundation + does cling to any dry patches especially when I use a brush to apply it, but I’ve found that by using my Beauty Blender, it creates a much more even and flawless finish and my dry patches are a lot less noticeable especially with a silicone based primer underneath.
I know I prefer to steer clear of matte foundations because of my dry skin, but I’d honestly recommend heading to a Clarins counter to try this out as I’m really surprised by how good it looks on my skin when using a Beauty Blender.
There’s no doubt that the new Clarins Everlasting Foundation + is going to become one of Clarins’ bestsellers as it ticks every single box; great coverage, beautiful packaging, amazing longevity, easy to apply and it makes my skin look so smooth and perfected and still like ‘skin’.
I just wish there were some paler shades, but it’s not a massive problem as I can use my white foundation to mix with it but I’d love to be able to apply straight from the bottle.
