Makeup Revolution Iconic Dreams Eyeshadow Palette Review / Swatches

Makeup Revolution launched their Makeup Revolution Iconic Dreams Eyeshadow Palette £4* a few months ago, and it has to be one of my favourite Makeup Revolution palettes to date. The Makeup Revolution Iconic Dreams Eyeshadow Palette is from their Redemption Palette series, which are all packaged within thin, clear plastic palettes with 12 narrow pans of shadow. I know some people don’t like the narrow shape of the pans as they’re not wide enough for makeup brushes, but they don’t bother me at all, and I’d rather Makeup Revolution kept the price down with the palettes.

The twelve shadows are all buttery soft and pigmented, with a gorgeous range of shades in both matte and shimmery finishes. What I particularly love about the Iconic Dreams Eyeshadow Palette is that it contains six pale shades in both warm and cool tones which make for perfect lid shades for any makeup look.

The last six shades are incredibly pretty with a rich gold, olive green, khaki green, reddy brown, taupe grey and medium brown. The last six shades in the palette are more pigmented than the first six, but the first six shades are not poor by any means. I think £4 is such amazing value for twelve stunning eyeshadows, and I seriously love the two green shades as they really make my green eyes pop.

I think the more expensive Revolution palettes get all of the attention, but I feel like this palette deserves a lot more hype as it contains slightly more unique shade than the typical neutral palette. I love the combination of shades, and they all work so well together and it’s well worth £4 although I do wish the pans were a different shape as the long narrow pans aren’t my favourite.
