When it comes to hairbrushes, I have tried so many… multiple Tangle Teezers, the Denman Tangle Tamer, the Michael Mercier Detangling Brush and the AirMotion Pro and nothing compares even slightly to The Wet Brush; my holy grail hairbrush. I’ve harped on about my hair woes numerous times, but I have waist long hair which is very thick as well as being super frizzy unless I use MoroccanOil everytime I wash my hair.

Due to how fine, and long my hair is, it becomes a knotted mess very easily so whenever I wash my hair, I’m left with a knotted mess which is a total nightmare to detangle.. well it was until The Wet Brush came into my life….

The Wet Brush Hair Brush
The Wet Brush £11.99* is the number one bestselling detangling hairbrush, and it only launched onto UK shores from the US quite recently. The Wet Brush may look like a normal hairbrush, but it’s actually very unique compared to other detangling hairbrushes.
The Wet Brush was specially developed to use on wet hair as wet hair is more prone to tangling, stretching and snapping as well as dry hair. The brush has IntelliFlex bristles which are ultra thin and flexible yet have the ability to recover quickly, so they can bounce back to its original form. The bristles are very flexible so they eliminate all tugging, tearing, pulling and ripping resulting in no split ends or hair loss.
In addition, the bristles are capped with soft and gentle balls which provide a massaging action that actually stimulates circulation at the hair follicles which is proven to improve the health of the hair. I have a very sensitive scalp as I suffer with dermatitis of the scalp, so all of the other detangling brushes actually hurt my scalp quite significantly, and this is the only brush that doesn’t hurt or irritate my scalp whatsoever.
Not only is the brush comfortable on my scalp, it glides through the knottiest of hair like butter. Yes. Like butter. This really is the best hairbrush I’ve ever tried for detangling and it glides through my knots in seconds, whereas before it’d take me in excess of five minutes to coax the knots from my hair.
I also love that the brush has a fantastic subtle, rubberised coating so it sits securely in your hand whilst brushing so it doesn’t slip out of your hand multiples times (hello Tangle Teezer). I never thought I could love a brush as much as I love The Wet Brush, but you seriously have to try it – you won’t regret it.
