2015 really is proving to be the year of the brows, and every brand is extending their range of brow products; Essence included. I’ve already raved about their amazing Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel which is one of their new releases for Spring within their brow range, alongside the Essence How to Make Brows Wow Brow Kit £5.99.
The Essence How to Make Brows Wow Brow Kit supposedly contains everything you need to get perfect eyebrows, packaged within an handy kit. The box is made from cardboard with a magnetised lid and a mirror within the lid. Behind the mirror, there are two brow tutorial cards with step by steps on how to use each product within the kit which I think is a nice addition to the kit.
The Essence How to Make Brows Wow Brow Kit contains three brow powders; Love Blondes, Love ‘Em All and Love Brunettes as well as a Lift Me Up powder highlighter. Underneath the powders, there are a mini pair of tweezers as well as a dual-ended applicator with a sponge and a brush. I think this kit is actually quite impressive in terms of what it contains considering it only costs £5.99.
The powders are velvety and smooth, with good pigmentation for using in the brows, but the brow shades don’t work particularly well as eyeshadows but they don’t make any claims to work as eyeshadows. The highlighter powder does make for a good eyeshadow as well as an highlighter.
The ‘Love Brunettes’ shade is a perfect match for my brows as it’s a nice, cool-toned dark brown so I don’t have any use for the other two brow powder shades, but those with lighter brows could perhaps use a mixture of shades. I think this is a great brow kit for £6, especially as the tweezers are actually quite good.
