Essence are fast becoming one of my favourite makeup brands, as I’ve been so impressed by everything I’ve tried since they launched here in the UK last year. The newest item in my Essence makeup collection is their Essence Sun Club 2-in-1 Bronzing Powder which contains a matte bronzer and an highlighter which are merged together.
The pan looks really pretty with the two sides of product, and I like that you can use either the bronzer or highlighter individually or you can use both sides together, so it’s essentially a 3 in 1 powder. Due to the powder having a merged design, every single powder has a different pattern so some have more highlighter or more bronzer so if you’re purchasing instore, you could choose which you prefer which is a nice option to have for such a budget bronzer.
Essence Sun Club 2-in-1 Bronzing Powder £3.50*
The texture of the powder is so buttery and smooth, which I never expected for £3.50 but I hope you can see just how smooth it is by looking at the swatches above, with very little product kick-up in the pan. The bronzer side is quite a warm, terracotta brown which is a touch too orange for my liking, but they do another powder with a lighter brown merged with a pink blush which I’ll definitely be purchasing soon.
The highlighter is a subtle, cream shade which gives more of a sheen than a shimmer when used on its own, but when blended with the bronzer, it somehow manages to look more shimmery; no idea how. When I blend the bronzer and highlighter together, it looks a lot less orangey which is ideal for my skintone and it imparts such a pretty glow which I’ve been loving during this warmer weather we’ve been experiencing recently.
