Lancôme Génifique Yeux Light-Pearl Concentrate

I’m a massive fan of Lancôme skincare, and I’ve loved everything I’ve tried thus far especially the Lancôme Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate so I was intrigued to try the Lancôme Génifique Yeux Light-Pearl Concentrate £46* from the same range. The Génifique Yeux Light-Pearl Concentrate is an eye serum complete with a 360° Light Pearl Applicator that claims to massage the eye contour area, whilst the serum refreshes the eyes by smoothing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reducing dark circles and under-eye bags.

The Lancôme Génifique Yeux Light-Pearl Concentrate packaging is stunning, with a ombréd silver glass bottle and a silver metal lid which unscrews to reveal the unique Light Pearl Applicator which is a stainless steel teardrop with a 50° angle rotation which allows you to massage the serum around the eyes. The serum is quite thick so I scrape off any excess serum on the applicator on neck inside the bottle.

The applicator feels amazing on the skin as the serum on the metal pearl is incredibly cooling and soothing on the skin, especially in the mornings when my eyes are at their most puffiest. I really like the concept of this pearl applicator as it’s very gentle so there’s no tugging on the delicate skin around the eyes which is something I worry about when applying eye creams with my fingers.

The directions for the Lancôme Génifique Yeux Light-Pearl Concentrate are as follows; trace to and fro both above and below the eye with the pearl applicator, followed by moving across the undereye from the inner to outer corner in small circular motions to fully massage the area.

Finally rest the pearl on any wrinkles/lines and move the pearl down the length of each one in to and fro movements. You can also use the pearl on the seven acupressure points around the eye to energise and help with lymphatic drainage. Applying this serum with the applicator is my favourite step within my skincare routine as it’s so relaxing, and it makes such a difference to my eyes in under three minutes.

The first improvement I’ve noticed is that the skin around my eyes is more hydrated since introducing the serum into my regime, so my eyes look brighter and smoother. I’ve also noticed a reduction in how puffy my eyes are, which makes me very happy especially as we’re very nearly in hayfever season so this will be an absolute godsend to help keep any puffiness under control.

I love how the applicator manages to awaken and brighten the eyes, and I imagine that if you had lines or wrinkles, you’d notice an improvement, especially as Lancôme promise noticeable results within just seven days but as I don’t have lines or wrinkles myself yet, I can’t confirm or deny the claim.
