Neve Cosmetics is a brand I’ve seen feature on a few blogs before, but until recently I’d never tried any of their products. Neve Cosmetics are an Italian cruelty free makeup brand and their products are all 100% vegan and vegetarian and don’t contain any parabens, silicones or petroleum derivatives, and they ship to countries within the European Union. My first Neve Cosmetics product is their Neve Cosmetics Nascondino Hide and Seek Concealer which is available in five shades, and I have the palest shade; Fair which is a new addition to the shade lineup. The Nascondino Concealer is described as having a cream to powder formulation for hiding skin flaws and discolouration, with a matte finish.
The concealer is packaged within a pink, plastic, circular pot with a screw lid and is nice and compact for throwing in my makeup bag. I was surprised by the texture of the concealer as it feels quite dry within the pot, so I assumed it’d be a little stiff and hard to work with but it really isn’t.. it’s easy to apply and blend, and feels really smooth.
I’d describe the concealer as having light to medium coverage, but it is buildable so I can apply more to my problem areas without it looking cakey. What I particularly like about this concealer is that it doesn’t cling to any dryness surrounding blemishes, which is something I hate about the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer.
The Neve Cosmetics Nascondino Hide and Seek Concealer really is the perfect concealer for concealing blemishes, and I find that it is best applied with my fingertips than a brush due to its dry texture.
I’ve tried applying it under my eyes, but I didn’t like the effect as much as I do when concealing blemishes, and I personally prefer to use a liquid concealer for under my eyes. Fair is a super pale shade which I love, although it does have quite a strong yellow undertone but when blended into the skin, it’s a perfect shade match for my skintone..
