The Nivea Blueberry Blush Lip Butter is quite hard to track down, but I managed to find it at Wilkinsons and I was delighted when I managed to get my hands on it. Just like the other scents, Blueberry Blush is packaged within a compact circular tin with a lid that’s very snug which I love as it never comes unattached when in the bottom of my bottomless pit of an handbag.
The Nivea Blueberry Blush Lip Butter itself is a pastel lilac colour, and the scent is absolutely divine.. it smells identical to the Go Ahead Forest Fruit Yoghurt Breaks, it’s one of the nicest smelling lipbalms I’ve ever tried. Once applied to the lips, the balm even has a subtle blueberry flavour too which makes me love it even more and they contain Shea Butter and Almond Oil to hydrate the lips.
I have since discovered that Nivea have released another two scents in the last couple of weeks; a Coconut Lip Butter and a Cocoa Lip Butter – both of which I’ll be snapping up as they sound divine. I love how lightweight the lip butters feel on the lips and the Nivea Blueberry Blush Lip Butter is no exception. It’s just so nourishing without leaving my lips feeling greasy, uncomfortable or sticky and it actually absorbs into the lips during after application rather than just sitting on the surface.
The Nivea Lip Butters are my favourite lip balms to use before applying matte lipsticks as they’re so lightweight on the lips, yet help prep my lips for unforgiving matte lipstick formulas. I’m not a massive fan of the whole unhygienic tin packaging for a lip balm, but I can overcome that as the Nivea Lip Butters are just amazing, and I’d highly recommend trying them if you like effective yet delicious affordable lip balms.
