When it comes to beauty, there is one ‘task’ I’m hideously lazy at and that is applying body lotion. I always love how soft and smooth my skin feels when I can be bothered to apply lotion, but I hate standing around waiting for creams to absorb especially as the temperatures aren’t particularly pleasant right now. When I saw the Vaseline Spray and Go Body Lotion launch last year, I thought my prayers had been answered; a body lotion that you spray over your skin, massage and ‘go’, and I bought two variations; the Cocoa Radiant and Oat, but they were both rubbish and didn’t moisturise my skin whatsoever. When I saw that Palmers had created their own version of spray moisturiser; the Palmers Rapid Moisture Coconut Spray Lotion, I resisted as I assumed it would be just as disappointing as the Vaseline version, but when I saw they’d released a new coconut version, I had no choice other than to buy it as I’m obsessed with anything coconut scented.
In addition I spotted a discount code whilst perusing the VoucherBin UK Blog, so I managed to nab a little discount so if you’re planning on making an online order, make sure you check VoucherBin UK website first to see if they have any discount codes available.
Palmers Rapid Moisture Coconut Spray Lotion £4.99
I really didn’t have high hopes for this little spray in all honesty, but I’ve been very pleasantly surprised. Palmers claim that this Spray Lotion is fast absorbing, non-staining, non-greasy, paraben free and offers 24 hour moisturisation, with a tropical scent.
One of things I hated about the Vaseline Spray and Go is that when it sprayed it just shot the lotion out in a dollop (so technical), but this Palmers Spray Lotion sprays such a fine mist so you can spray it over your arm or leg and it coats your skin in an even layer which I then massage into the skin, which takes seconds as it really does absorb quickly without leaving my hands feeling greasy or sticky.
Once I’ve massaged the Palmers Rapid Moisture Coconut Spray Lotion into the skin, I can get dressed straight away without my clothes sticking to me as it’s so lightweight which I love as there’s no waiting around whilst it dries. In terms of moisturisation it definitely does moisturise the skin, considerably more than the Vaseline Spray and Go but I’d describe it as giving light moisturisation which will be ideal for Summer, but if you have particularly dry skin, you’ll need something a little more intensive but for me it’s absolutely perfect… and the scent is divine.
It has an amazing coconut and cocoa scent, and reminds me of a Bounty chocolate bar which makes me love it even more. I’m so pleased I gave this a try, as it’s so much better than the Vaseline sprays and I’d really recommend it, if you’re looking for a quick, lightweight, moisturising body lotion.
