It’s a bold statement to make but Zoeva Makeup Brushes are the best I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried so many different brush brands including Real Techniques, Sigma, EcoTools, Bdellium Tools, Louise Young, Crownbrush, e.l.f., Japonesque, Stila and many more, but Zoeva are my absolute favourite. What I particularly love about Zoeva’s brushes is that some of their brushes are quite unique in their shapes, rather than copying other makeup brush brands.. of course they have brushes which are similar to other brands but the majority of their brushes are uniquely shaped. I’ve already reviewed the Zoeva 110 Face Shape Brush here on my blog which is one of my favourite face brushes, alongside the Zoeva 109 Luxe Face Paint Brush.
The Luxe Face Paint Brush is described as a professional contouring brush which can be used with pressed and loose powder, with a blend of synthetic and natural bristles for a seamless finish. The bristles are shaped into a flat, square head which offers fantastic precision when contouring.
The brush head is quite small at around an inch long, with a depth of half an inch, with slightly dense bristles so it allows for precise application as well as blending and I really like that the brush is smaller in size as I prefer a more subtle contour although you can achieve a very intense contour should you wish too.
Zoeva 109 Luxe Face Paint Brush £12.99
Even though Zoeva recommend the Zoeva 109 Luxe Face Paint Brush for using with powder, I’ve found that it works amazingly with my Beauty UK Contour Kit especially for contouring my nose. I really like using the 110 Face Shape Brush for contouring but it can be a little too intense for my liking so I find the 109 to give a more natural effect.
If you’re a contouring newbie, I cannot recommend this brush enough as it does the work for you as I simply move the brush backwards and forwards along the hollows of my cheeks until I’ve got my desired effect. I have had a little malting with this brush, which is only minimal but it’s not something I’ve had with my other Zoeva brushes.
Apart from the odd shedding of hair, this brush is amazing and makes contouring so quick and easy and it’s been described as being a dupe for the NARS ITA brush which I don’t have but considering it’s £43, this £11.50 Zoeva brush is a great alternative.
