Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Pencil Eye Shadow Primer & Color Corrector

Anastasia Beverly Hills are the queen of brows with the huge popularity of the Brow Wiz and Dipbrow Pomade, but sometimes their other product lines are forgotten as there’s so much more to them than just brows.. I am a massive fan of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Covet Eyeliners and Eyeshadows. My most recent Anastasia Beverly Hills purchase was the Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Pencil Eye Shadow Primer & Color Corrector £15.50 which I bought from Cult Beauty.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Pencil is something I’ve never seen mentioned before but the description sold it to me as a real multi-tasker. The Pro Pencil is designed to conceal blemishes, diminish dark circles and imperfections, highlights the facial features and cover brow hairs as they grow back.

It can also be used as a primer over the eyelids before adding eyeshadow and as a lipliner to prevent feathering of colour.. I just couldn’t believe how many uses this pencil has.

I opted for Base 1 which is the lightest shade which is supposedly a match for ‘light to medium’ skintones, knowing that it might not work as a concealer for my skintone but I’d still be able to get some use from it with its many different uses.

The pencil looks quite small but appearances can be deceiving as it still manages to contain 2.48g of product which is double the amount of product of the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye or Lip Pencils.

I really like the sharp, pointed nib on the pencil as it’s very precise which is ideal for lining the lips or brows, although it’s not particularly effective for concealing or priming as it takes some time to cover the area. Base 1 is a matte, light skintone shade with a very subtle pink undertone, whereas Base 2 is darker in tone with a yellow undertone.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Pencil in Base 1 is really quite yellow toned (even though it’s supposed to be pink toned), so sadly the only way I can use the Pro Pencil is along my waterline for a brightening effect.

I really wish this was a paler shade without such a strong yellow undertone so I could use it as a concealer, lipliner or a highlighter, so I really don’t think that the £13 price tag is worth it seeing as the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in Nude is only £3.99, and does exactly the same thing and the Rimmel pencil is better quality, and more creamy than this one too…
