Essence Sunset Sun Club 2 in 1 Bronzing Powder Review and Swatches

I’m absolutely loving Essence right now, and if you saw my recent Essence Makeup Haul, you’ll know that I bought the new Essence Sunset Sun Club 2 in 1 Bronzing Powder after loving their Essence Sunshine Sun Club 2 in 1 Bronzing Powder. The Essence Sun Club 2 in 1 Bronzing Powders are merged powders – both with a bronzer shade, with the Sunshine Powder having an highlighter mixed with the bronzer and the Sunset Powder having a blusher mixed with the bronzer, both costing just £3.50 each from Wilko.

The Sunset Sun Club 2 in 1 Bronzing Powder contains a warm matte bronzer, whereas the Sunshine Powder has a cooler toned bronzer in comparison. Alongside the warm bronzer, the Sunset Powder has a pink blush with a golden shimmer.

The powders are quite a generous size and you can choose to use the bronzer alone, the blush alone or you can use both sides together. When you blend the bronzer and blush together, it creates a shimmery tan shade which I like to use as a blush/bronzer hybrid.

In comparison to the Sunshine Powder, I find the texture of this powder to be a little different.. this Sunset Powder is a little gritty compared to the Sunshine Powder which is a lot smoother in comparison but they’re both very usable.

I think the Sunset Bronzing Powder is beautiful both in the pan and on the cheeks. I do think the Sunshine Powder is a little better, quality wise and I find it a little easier to blend but for £3.50, you really can’t complain as the difference is very minimal and it’s the perfect blush shade for Summer.

The design is so unique for a drugstore brand, and I really hope Essence decide to introduce more shades with a merged pan like this as I really like the effect they create.
