LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints Review and GIVEAWAY!

The LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints are a product I’ve wanted to try for the longest time, but as LA Girl is a US based makeup brand, I couldn’t get my hands on the shades I’d been lusting after. Imagine my excitement when I found out that Beauty Chamber now stock them and they’re very affordable too. There are a few UK retailers of US beauty products but sadly they do take advantage and charge an extortionate amount, and I understand they need to mark them up to cover their shipping costs but often the price is more than double the retail price.

LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints Review and GIVEAWAY!

Beauty Chamber are selling the LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints for only £4.99 each which I think is an amazing price and they have all eighteen shades available. I was very kindly gifted four shades to try out; Elude, Peony, Whisper and Flirt, and they’ve gifted me with another set to giveaway here on my blog which is amazing.

The LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints are described as having the intensely pigmented appearance of a lipstick, with the ease and glossy finish of a lipgloss and provide a long lasting, hyper glossy, ultra rich colour to lips.

Each of the Glazed Lip Paints are packaged within a plastic, squeezy tube with an angled tip which you can use to apply to the lips directly, but due to the incredible pigmentation of the Lip Paints, I recommend using a lip brush for application as it can get very messy.

Each of the tubes are different coloured to match the shade inside the tube which is amazing if you own multiple shades. I really like the packaging with the gold lid and writing, they just feel a lot more luxurious than their £4.99 price tag.

LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints Review and GIVEAWAY!

Elude is a pale, peachy warm toned nude which is the absolute perfect nude shade for my skintone. It isn’t too pale nor is it too dark, and I absolutely love it.

Peony is a bright coral cream which had a slightly thinner consistency compared to the other three shades, which lead to the longevity being reduced at around two hours compared to the four to six with Elude, Whisper and Flirt.

Whisper is a light brown nude which looks a lot prettier on the lips than it does in this swatch… on the lips it looks a little warmer. I have been enjoying mixing a tiny amount of Peony with Whisper just to brighten it a little which I’ve found to be more flattering.

Flirt is a warm toned pink and my favourite from the four shades as I love medium pink shades like this.

All four shades have incredible pigmentation and opacity, and you only need a tiny amount.. a little goes a long way. I would describe the formula and pigmentation to the OCC Lip Tars except the LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints are a little less thick.

I’ve seen people liken these paints to the Too Faced Melted Lip Paints, but I really don’t think they’re similar at all as the Too Faced Lip Paints are lip lacquers and these are super pigmented glosses and they don’t set or dry down like the Too Faced Melted Lip Paints. I love that you can create custom shades like you can with the OCC Lip Tars if you own multiple shades as you can mix them on the back of your hand and then apply with a lip brush.

The LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints all have a minty scent and subtle flavour which does tingle on the lips a little but it’s not uncomfortable like some minty lip products can be. I find them all so comfortable to wear, and I find that they bleed less than the OCC Lip Tars do too which is a massive bonus.

though the Lip Paints are very glossy, they’re not sticky or gloopy and the pigmentation is so strong that you can wear them without a liner or lipstick underneath. They really are amazing glosses and I honestly can’t find one flaw with them at all which is pretty rare for me as I’m so picky when it comes to lip products.
