I have a serious love for sunglasses, and I always look forward to adding a new pair of sunglasses to my collection each Summer. My newest pair of sunglasses are the Marc by Marc Jacobs 461S Sunglasses which I chose as they’re cat eye sunglasses, which are my favourite frame style as I find them to be so flattering than round or oval lenses. Marc Jacobs is one of my favourite fashion brands, but I’ve never owned a pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses before, so I was excited to get my hands on these beautiful glasses.
The Marc by Marc Jacobs 461S Sunglasses retail for £99 on the Sunglasses Shop website, which I think is really quite reasonable for a designer pair of glasses and they really are amazing. The glasses come with an amazing, hard Marc by Marc Jacobs case which is perfect for keeping the glasses protected within your handbag, and it’s quite compact as far as sunglasses cases go so it doesn’t take up too much room either, and the Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses all come with a one year warranty too.
The Marc by Marc Jacobs 461S Sunglasses’s cats eye shaped frames are inspired by the sixties, and the frames are made from a sleek black acetate which adds to the almost retro vibe of the glasses.
There are a couple of different colour styles available in the 461S frames, and I opted for Milky Black, which are black all over with a small milky white rectangle on the outside of each lens for a more contemporary look.
The arms of the glasses are the perfect width and are so comfortable, with the Marc by Marc Jacobs name engraved in silver writing. I really love how sleek, and feminine these glasses are, and I find the cats eye design so flattering which is a godsend for those with a round face like mine.
The lenses themselves are UV400, so they block all light rays upto 400 nanometres which covers both UVA and UVB rays, so they’re very protective for the eyes as well as being stunning. I think The Sunglasses Shop is a great place to shop as they offer a price match guarantee, and these Marc by Marc Jacobs 461S Sunglasses have an RRP of £119 but due to their guarantee, they sell them for £99 which also includes free delivery and returns too.
