Ever since I was little, I’ve always struggled with insomnia and for the last four years, it’s been particularly bad and I’m rarely asleep before 3am. My lovely friend Jo (a Little Pop of Coral) moved to New York last year, and she very kindly picked up a couple of drugstore products for me, and posted them over to me. Inside my package, Jo was amazing enough to include a few samples including the Elizabeth & James Nirvana Black perfume; which I’ve totally fallen head over heels for. In addition to the fragrance sample, Jo also included a sample of the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray and the This Works Stress Less Roll-On, as she knew about my sleep struggles which was such a lovely thing to do.
I’d read so many rave reviews of the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray, but I hadn’t tried it as I’ve tried endless Sleep Sprays in the past, but I’ve never found them to be very effective so I was excited to finally try it for myself. The sample lasted me for a couple weeks, and when it finished I just had to purchase the full size as I was so impressed.
The This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray is infused with 100% natural essential oils of Lavender, Vetiver and Wild Chamomile. The French Lavender combines therapeutic qualities to relieve tension and insomnia with a fresh and sweet floral smell, the Vetiver helps to alleviate stress, settling the nerves and establishing a feeling of balance, whilst its sedative action also treats mental and physical exhaustion and finally the Wild Chamomile’s relaxing aroma deeply soothes, with an almost sedative effect to calm body and mind.
To use the spray, you simply spritz it over your pillow before you go to bed, and tests of 200 people had the following results; 89% of users fell asleep faster than normal whilst 92% of users felt more refreshed in the morning.
The Deep Sleep Pillow Spray is quite small at only 75ml and it costs £16, so it’s quite pricey but seeing as you only need two spritzes each time, it should last for a quite a while. The spray smells divine, and is the nicest pillow spray I’ve tried and it really does have an instant calming effect, and I find that I become much more relaxed within a matter of minutes.
Now as a sleep spray, I can’t say that that it helps to make me fall asleep sadly, but it does definitely help me to awake more rested in the morning as it helps me have a deeper sleep which I love.
I really don’t know what it is that makes this particular spray so effective, but it’s like magic in a bottle and I’d recommend it to anyone; it really is the kind of product you need to try to believe, but I’ll definitely repurchase when this bottle runs out and I’m now dying to try more of the This Works Sleep range.
